About Oswego, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Oswego, Illinois is a growing village in Kendall County. As of 2016, the population was estimated at 34,600 residents, which is significantly higher than the 2010 and 2000 census numbers – 30,355 and 13,326, respectively. This Chicago suburb is most well-known for the town’s drag strip, which saw muscle car races from 1955-1979. Today, the community is a great place to live and raise a family, with good schools and many employment opportunities available.

There are many things to see and do in Oswego. The Historic Downtown area offers many dining and unique shopping opportunities. Notable attractions like the Little White School Museum and the Veterans Memorial Walk are found here. The Fox Valley Winery offers award-winning local wines, and many visitors enjoy watching a match at the Arranmore Farm and Polo Club. Other popular attractions include the Emerson Creek Shop and Tearoom, Prairie Point Splash Playground, and Hudson Crossing Park.

Oswego is part of a humid continental climate region. Residents will experience four very different seasons throughout the year. Summer weather is the warmest, with temperatures peaking into the 80s during July and August. Coupled with high humidity, Oswego residents need to be prepared at home in order to stay cool. Central air conditioners are preferred to outdated window units, as they operate at optimal efficiency to cool a space evenly. The right central air conditioner will leave residents feeling confident that they’ll stay comfortable regardless of conditions outdoors.

Winter weather in Oswego can also become dangerous. The area receives about 37 inches of snowfall each year, but freezing conditions are an even bigger concern. With average daily highs of only about 30 degrees in January, residents need to take steps to stay warm at home. The right gas or electric furnace will ensure families stay safe throughout the season.
